Number 134! How did I forget?
I haven't done much on my list....but I DID do number 134 (labeled as 35), when I was in Peru. I can't believe I forgot that. Seriously.
Had my first ever full body massage...like the kind where you are wearing nothing but underwear and you have towels and and oils and everything....crazy, but nice! (and so cheap!)

55 and 194 (though it says 95, for the second time), and a bit of 9
Well, I am here to say that I have checked off 2 things on my list, and added a bit to one. I was just in Peru, so I crossed that one off! :-) I also have now been to 3 of the 7 continents! Almost half way there!
I also did actually pay, surprisingly, one time for bathroom privileges. I was not expecting to on this trip, but I did, lol. It was quite amusing. I got some teddy bear tp in return for my 30 centimos :-)
South America is an interesting place to be, let me tell ya! I only saw Peru, and I know that many cultures are different, so here is what I know from it:
Miraflores, Lima does not get super happening for Independence day, but that is ok with me, because downtown is crazy enough on it's own! It is a place, however, where you must watch your belongings, as my camera was stolen...muy triste :-(.
It is humid in Lima, even though it is winter, but still beautiful. The sound of the Pacific on the rocky beaches is so awesome!
Nazca was my favorite place to be. There is such wonderful history there. The lines are fabulous, though small planes make me very sick! The Archeologist we met was so invested and dedicated and gave the best tour of the trip. And Dune buggies and sandboards are awesome!
Arequipa has a quiet atmosphere, yet is a very popular tourist area. They have good local dishes and it was a great place to relax and enjoy the view. Some good shopping and excellent sweets were also had :-)
Puno is VERY high up...in fact we were over 12,800 feet above sea level. It is very cold, hace mucho frio! I'm glad I had gotten my hat and scarf before then. Lake Ti-ti-ca-ca, very separate, and must be pronounced as such b/c it does NOT mean excrement, but titi means puma, and caca, means rock, is the highest lake in the world! And we climbed over 500 steps higher than that on Island Tequile! It was fun, and beautiful, and worth it, but I was so sick all the days of Puno. The first night into the second day being the worst. It was so hard to breath and I got so stomach sick....yuck to altitude sickness! I even threw up once...but it was only water.
Buses are interesting. It can take more or less time than expected and still seem like forever. They keep movies very very quiet and hard to hear, but annoying music way too loud. Every bus has the same "cd" mix and it always places the same several songs, song by totally different artists and sounding all like "elevator music" in a way. Our favorites were "Under my thumb" and "Your heart, my soul"...oh man!
People can be friendly, rude, clueless, crazy, naive, or stubborn, and most are pretty laid back about time. ;-)
I will say that I am glad to take a shower without shoes, put ice in my water from the sink and sleep in my own bed....and make my own meal. It's great to try new foods....but eating out every night is not something I actually enjoy....I like a quiet meal I make myself at home...lol..
But overall it was so worth it and an AMAZING, once in a lifetime experience! Excited to have gone, glad to be back, and ready to take on a new adventure....
Well, actually, the adventure of year 4, attack of the new class of 7th grade, is starting in just a few short weeks! Excitement and energy , and nervousness of course, are building!
Ciao muchachos!
P.S. I also want to speak Spanish now...and find myself saying it in Spanish or trying to think it in Spanish, and realizing, I can say it in English! Oops!

My OFFICIAL Bucket List
So, I used to have a paper pencil version of this, but it seems that I have lost that. Plus, this way, my list is saved forever, or at least until the internet decides to change ;-).
I had recently decided to revisit this bucket list idea for mainly 2 reasons: One, I was google-ing something online and one link that popped up was about 50 things to do before you die. I went on a tangent search, and found another blog of someone else's list, and it definitely got me back into thinking about all the things I really want to do and accomplish in my life And second, I am currently reading Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth George. This is about a women's journey through life, and 3 different countries, to find pleasure on the Earth, to seek devotion out of this world, and then, finally, to find the balance between the two. So far I love it!
So, back to the list. This will of course end up being an accumulation of items over time, I'm sure, but here is a start. It has things that are fulfilling, seeking, traveling, simple, adventurous, and things that may seem near impossible…but I'd sure like to try. I'm only 26, so I hope that I have quite a few years left in me to accomplish these things, starting today. Of course, there are things that I've already done, so it seems silly to put them on this list now, but know that I have already been on some amazing adventures! And if I don't make it through all of them, let it be known it will not be for lack of trying. Everything is in God's hands, so His timing is all I can go on. I know it is large, but bare with me! I'm going to cap it at 200! 200 things do do before 100…or before I die :-P
